Platform sneakers add just the right amount of crazy into a school-casual wardrobe.

A pair of these are gonna be my last breath of summer air before diving into another year of homework, school-gym-dances, and late night painting parties - my last year in highschool! If you think about it, sneakers sum up senior year pretty well - comfy, forward, and a little grown up with a punch of youth!

06.17.12 A treat ♥

This is my haul from today’s morning trip to Black + Brown Vintage - all for just $3!

Black Thunderbird Tee - i am obsessed with all things space/air/robot related, and this t-shirt almost hits the spot ♥ There are four flying jets on the back (pictured) and a close-up of a gas masked-pilot on the front! How sick is that?!? If only, they were rockets, and the pilot was an astronaut - well can’t have it all :-)
88’ Rose Bowl Tee - Love red, roses, the FONT (curly-cue retro ♥), and nearly anything related to California - only thing left is to hit up the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena!
Sam Edelman Ferrell Boots - The best thing about these are that they’re worn in like they’ve already lived a life of their own. I’ll pretend they belonged to a Charlotte Kemp Muhl type it-girl who lived her life on the go (lol, maybe some of it will rub off on me ♥) - they are that awesome!!!

How did all this add up to $3? I brought in a bag of clothes (about 14 items) and sold 8 - they gave me 40% of what they would sell it for, and scored $45 in store credit. Black & Brown is notorious for being incredibly selective, but it wasn’t so bad!

One of the best things about the summertime are those care-free vibes - we’re young, wild, and free right?? All those concerts, beach days, and festivals are the perfect time to WHIP OUT SOME CRAZY DUDS - things you wouldn’t normally wear to school/work (unless you go HERE) called festival style.

CLOTHING:

(Thailand-inspired) Crocheted Clothing - not as girly as lace, but crochet gives off that carefree, boho vibe that works so well during the summertime.

Nothing shiny here! Swap out gold for antique gold/bronze and silver for pressed tin or worn-down shades.

I will forever adore Sam Adams!!!! Not as famous as the beer, but waaaay cuter! I love her pixie-like features and “whatever-goes” kind of style - bohemian in a sort of way (teenage wasteland meets retro meets girl next door).

I love anything leopard print - but the simplicity of this shift dress make this one waaaay cool- not at all body con ♥ AND THOSE CAT EYES! The next look is another one of my favs - and it was shot by it-girl photographer Felisha Tolentino. (Her site is here.)This is another way-cool chick - that I’ll gush on another time!
